Parkeon has installed three additional Varioflex automatic pay stations at the newly-extended Frenchgate Interchange in Doncaster, increasing the total number provided to nine.
The extra machines, which provide drivers with a choice of payment methods including Chip & Pin credit cards, will reduce queuing at peak times, improving customer satisfaction further.
A Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) system has been leased and added to the car park since it opened. This enables the operator to track vehicle entry times, which in turn assists with charging drivers the correct fee for the period parked in the event of a lost parking ticket.
Regular users of the car park will also be able to benefit shortly from a subscriber card scheme linked to the LPR system. This means users will not have to stop and lower their car windows at the entry/exit barrier to speed up access at the car park.
