On its massive stand at ICSC, Westfield gave pride of place to a model of Westfield London, the million-sq ft megamall due to open next year in West London.
Since taking over the half-built centre from Chelsfield two years ago, Westfield has redesigned and rebranded it. But however much has been spent on communicating the new brand identity, there are clearly some key audiences that still need to be reached.
Peter Lowy, chief executive of the company's US operations and scion of its founding family, welcomed visitors to the stand with a cheery: "Have you seen our new model of White City?"
