The £120m redevelopment of Golden Square in Warrington, which has more than doubled the size of the previous centre, has opened its doors to the public. The 365,000-sq ft extension, developed by the Warrington Retail Limited Partnership, opened almost 90 per cent let.
The expansion has created 60 new units and increases the centre's capacity to 140 retailers. Top names including Oasis, H&M, Bank, Republic, La Senza, Pumpkin Patch and Jane Norman - all opening their first stores in Warrington - have been attracted to the centre which is anchored by a 115,000-sq ft flagship Debenhams, the first full-line department store in the town.
