Dundrum Town Centre, Crossridge's 90,000 sq m development 5km south of Dublin city centre, scooped the ICSC Europe award for the best new centre, in the very large category at the awards ceremony in Warsaw last month, beating competitors from Finland and Poland.
Dundrum Town Centre director Don Nugent (pictured with Miss Ireland Sarah Morrisey) said: "This is an extraordinary honour for an Irish shopping centre. It has never before been achieved by an Irish centre and is a genuine recognition of how we in Ireland have taken our place on the world stage in terms of retailing."
The centre is now automatically shortlisted for the ICSC's world awards, which will be announced in Phoenix, Arizona, later this year.
