NICK PEEL has been promoted to head of retail operations for LAND SECURITIES, covering all of the company's 30 UK shopping centres and 30 retail parks. He previously enjoyed successful roles with Halfords, Morrison Supermarkets, John Menzies and Rangers Football Club before joining Land Securities in 2005 as centre director for the East Kilbride shopping centre. In October 2006 he was promoted to retail operations director for all of Scotland.


?CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD has appointed JOHN PRESTWICH as a partner and new head of retail asset management. He joins from GVA ACR where he spent six years specialising in shopping centre management. At Cushman & Wakefield he will head the retail asset management team based in London, replacing Phil Evans, who has transferred to C&W's Athens office to head up the firm's retail division for southern Europe.


?Investment surveyor CORMAC MCNABB has transferred from the SAVILLS auctions team to the company's in town retail team at its London headquarters.


?SAVILLS has expanded its Leeds-based in-town retail team with the appointment of JAMES LAMMING as a surveyor. He will work on several centres including The Princess of Wales shopping centre in Dewsbury and the Newgate shopping centre in Bishop Auckland as well as advising retailers Shoe Fayre and Bet Fred.

?RUTH BERRY, for the past two years press and marketing officer at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking, has been appointed by BRITISH LAND as marketing manager of the Peacocks shopping centre in Woking.


EFM FACILITIES has promoted TONY QUY to national facilities manager UK, responsible for managing the entire UK portfolio after four years with the company.


Niche retail property consultancy NASH BOND continues to expand with the appointment of ROBERT BLAKE as a graduate surveyor to assist the agency team in both London and across the rest of the country.


PRUPIM has appointed David Morris to its 26-strong development team, to source new property development opportunities. He was previously a development partner at Knight Frank where he was responsible for mixed-use development consultancy and land sales.


?PIGGOTTS, manufacturer of flags and banners, has appointed RORY BLACKWOOD to head its new Look Digital division. He was previously production manager for the Asian Games, based in Doha, Qatar.


MAPINFO CORPORATION has appointed STEVEN FELDMAN as its UK managing director. The move follows MapInfo's acquisition last year of Graphical Data Capture, where Feldman was the managing director. He originally joined the company in 1998 as general manager.
