The John Lewis Partnership and Grosvenor have agreed heads of terms for a 255,000-sq ft full-line department store to anchor the Town Centre North scheme in Crawley, West Sussex. Subject to planning the store is scheduled to open in 2013.
Ann Humphries, JLP's director of retail development, said: "The agreement demonstrates John Lewis' confidence in the plans for improving the retail offer for Crawley and the Town Centre North. We are convinced the redeveloped town centre has a great future."
Crawley Borough Council selected Grosvenor in 2005 as its development partner to transform 32 acres of land around The Boulevard.
