Irish based accessories retailer Pulse Accessories is stepping up its acquisition programme, with plans to open at least another 30 stores by the end of 2007 on top of its existing 12 outlets.

The brand began business with concessions in department stores across the country and it is now carried by more than 1,000 independent retailers. And before starting its latest growth surge the company successfully trialled standalone stores in shopping centres, retail parks and high streets. The most recent store openings have been in Tralee, Bridgewater, Arklow, Newbridge, Kildare and in Ennis.

According to Orla O'Byrne of DTZ Sherry FitzGerald, Pulse's property advisor, the standard requirement is for stores of approximately 27 sq m to 92 sq m. The search is on for suitable sites in all major towns throughout Ireland as well as a number of Dublin locations.
