The SCEPTRE Awards, rewarding the best practice and the best people in the UK and Ireland shopping centre industry, are back - and they're bigger and better than ever.
The superb ballroom at the Dorchester in London's Park Lane will see awards presented in 15 categories on Wednesday June 20.
As in 2006 the Centre Manager of the Year awards will be divided into three size bands: small (up to 150,000 sq ft), medium (150,001 to 500,000 sq ft) and large (over 500,001 sq ft). All will be open to managers of shopping centres, outlet malls and on-site managed retail parks.
Reflecting the continued success of Shopping Centre Ireland magazine, three categories will be dedicated to the Irish market - Shopping Centre Manager of the Year, Agent of the Year and Developer of the Year. And a new category has been introduced for 2007: the Environmental Management Award of the Year reflects the growing awareness of green issues and sustainability in the shopping centre industry.
Entry/nomination forms will soon be mailed to readers. Alternatively, you will also be able to enter online or download entry forms. Simply visit sceptreawards.co.uk.
The final date for entries is not until April 2007. But it would do no harm at all to start preparing your entries and nominations now - or to start thinking about who to vote for in Retailer of the Year and the three Shopping Centre Ireland categories. For further information, please call Nicola Smith in the William Reed Events team on 01293 867629, or visit the website, sceptreawards.co.uk.
