Six new retailers have signed up for Lend Lease's 365,000-sq ft extension to the Golden Square shopping centre in Warrington, which is on schedule for completion in March 2007.
Oasis has taken a 2,500-sq ft, two-level unit, while Pumpkin Patch has taken 4,000 sq ft over two floors in the £120m extension. Clarks has agreed on a 5,500 sq ft two-level store and Hair Express has signed for 1,000 sq ft out of what is currently WH Smiths - with the bookstore and stationer moving into the new Golden Square extension. And finally Dr & Herbs has taken 700 sq ft and Carphone Warehouse 900 sq ft. Oasis has signed for ten years, and the other tenants for 15 years.
Rachel Broughton, leasing manager for Golden Square, said: "The signing of these six stores further underlines Golden Square's commitment to provide Warrington with a blend of shops for an exciting retail experience. Bringing real variety to the new centre was a key objective in the development plan, and there will be further additions before the centre opens in March."
