French childrenswear brand Du Pariel au Meme has opened its first UK store and announced plans to acquire up to 20 further stores in the next five years.
The first UK store is at Lakeside in Thurrock, Essex, and Harper Dennis Hobbs has been appointed to handle the roll-out of the brand. The initial target is for stores ranging from 1,200 to 1,500 sq ft initially in London and the south-east.
Tim Newman, associate director of Harper Dennis Hobbs, said: "The retailer has a reputation for excellent quality and keen pricing, aimed at infants and children up to 14 years of age."
Du Pareil au Meme has 123 stores in France and 55 stores in other markets.
