? Barking

Barking GP, advised by Churston Heard, has let a 423 sq ft unit at Vicarage Field Shopping Centre to Herbal Inn. The herbal and health product retailer has taken a new 10-year lease at a rent of £30,000 pa. Mass & Co advised Herbal Inn.


? Basildon

PAT (Pensions), advised by Churston Heard and Mass & Co, has let two retail units at East Walk in Basildon, Essex, to Home Cinema Store. The plasma screen retailer has taken unit 58 and 60, totalling 4,450 sq ft on separate 15-year leases at £30,000 pa and £37,860 pa respectively.


? Birmingham

Next has taken the 12,000 sq ft Unit A at Heybarnes Circus, Coventry Road on a new 15-year lease at £240,000 pa. The unit forms part of a former Courts store, which has been divided up by landlord Scottish Widows. Edgerley Simpson Howe was letting agent and Wilkinson Williams advised the tenant.


? Cambridge

ScS Upholstery has taken a new 25 year FRI lease on Unit 11 at the Cambridge Retail Park, providing 8,000 sq ft, at £32 per sq ft with four months rent free. Colliers CRE was letting agent and Johnson Fellows represented the tenant.


? Cheltenham

Tony Pryce Sports, trading as Animal, has let the 2,000 sq ft Unit 20/21 at the Beechwood Shopping Centre, 123 High Street, on a new 10-year lease. The passing rent is £110,000 pa. Churston Heard and Downing Bentley jointly advised Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. Larkman Edgcumbe acted on behalf Tony Pryce Sports.

AXA REIM on behalf of Sunlife Assurance Society, advised by Savills, has leased 16-18 The Martlets to Card Factory after the previous tenant, Officers Club, surrendered its lease. The retailer has taken the 3,474 sq ft unit on a new 10-year lease, at a rent of £156,000 pa. Fawley Watson Booth advised Card Factory.


? Grimsby

The Grosvenor Shopping Centre Fund, advised by Churston Heard and Donaldsons, has let 7,300 sq ft at 56 Friargate, Freshney Place Shopping Centre, to Superdrug on a new 10-year lease. The passing rent is £200,000 pa. Glen Davidson Angus represented Superdrug.


? Kettering

Protego Real Estate, advised by Churston Heard and Alston Nock, has let 3 The Mall at The Newlands Shopping Centre to womenswear retailer Christian Marcus Direct, trading as CMD. The unit, comprising 1,380 sq ft on ground and 237 sq ft on first floor level, has been taken on a new 10-year lease. The passing rent is £56,500 pa.


? Northampton

Legal & General, advised by Churston Heard, has let 26 Newland Walk at The Grosvenor Centre to Hutchinson 3G. The company has taken a 1,218 sq ft ground floor retail unit on a new 10-year lease. The passing rent is £88,182 pa. GVA Grimley represented Hutchinson 3G.


? Nottingham

YMCA has acquired 740 sq ft of ground floor space at 125 Middle Walk, Broad Marsh Shopping Centre, on a new two-year lease. The initial rent is £21,000 pa. Williams Gunter Hardwick represented YMCA and the lessor was represented by Fisher Hargreaves Proctor.


? Skelmersdale

London & Cambridge Properties has leased Unit 38 in the Concourse Shopping Centre, Southway, providing 1,986 sq ft, to Carphone Warehouse on a 10-year lease at £35,000 pa. Churston Heard and Brady represented the landlord and Briant Champion Long represented the tenant.
