The largest shopping centre car park in Ireland outside Dublin has opened at Newbridge, Co. Kildare with Q-Park Ireland as the operator.
The company won the management contract for the newly opened Whitewater shopping centre, which provides parking for 1,700 cars. Of these, 900 are in the basement, with the rest in a newly built multi-storey.
The centre, which has 345,000 sq ft of retail space anchored by Debenhams, was developed on the Irish Ropes site by a consortium of Ballymore and Mountbrook Homes.
Whitewater's development manager Gary Cooper said: "Q-Park fits within our overall vision for Whitewater in terms of quality and customer service.
"The car park will be for many of our customers, the first and last point of contact, therefore the quality of the car park operator is extremely important and should match the overall level of quality expected."
