Telford shopping centre car parks have been awarded the Park Mark Safer Parking Award for the second year running.
The centre is delighted to have received the award again having put a lot of investment into its parking facility.
Glynn Morrow, car park manager at the centre, said: "We have invested heavily in staff training and landscape maintenance to improve both surveillance and sight lines. We work in complete cooperation with the police who have unhindered access to our CCTV and monitoring systems."
Water Gardens shopping centre in Harlow has also received the award at its 1,200-space two-storey car park, which is used by over 600,000 people a year.
Chief superintendent Adams from Essex Police said: "This is a well run, secure car park and its Safer Parking Award is richly deserved.
"There are effective emergency evacuation procedures in place, good levels of lighting and vehicular access as well as clearly defined pedestrian routes."
