Sheffield city centre is to gain a new multi-storey car park as part of the MoorSheffield regeneration project.
Real estate equity fund manager RREEF is carrying out a phased redevelopment of much of the 24-acre Moor shopping district, and it is kickstarting the project by relocating the city's indoor market into a two-storey complex fronting The moor.
Permission for the 34,000-sq ft market hall has been granted as part of a mixed-use development.
A new multi-storey car park, with 650 spaces, will further enhance the city's appeal.
