The Outlet at Bridgewater Park, Banbridge is now 52 per cent pre-let a year ahead of its Easter 2007 opening. Olsen, Oasis, Mexx and Nitya have all signed for units at the £70m outlet centre.
Mexx managing director Anthony Hill forecast that The Outlet will become the dominant outlet mall in Ireland. "The location means that it can serve both the Republic and Northern Ireland," he said.
Construction started on site in February 2006 and steelwork is already out of the ground.
The 205,000 sq ft outlet mall is the first phase of the 1.2 million sq ft mixed use Bridgewater Park development, located 26 miles south of Belfast on the A1 Euroroute. The second phase includes the construction of a 40,000 sq m retail park.
