ALDER KING has promoted IAN MCGAW to partner. He joined Alder King in May 2004 from Chesterton as head of the professional services department and since then he has established a property management department in the Cardiff office.
JOHN CALLCUTT has become chief executive of national regeneration agency ENGLISH PARTNERSHIPS. He will take up his appointment on May 2 for a three-year period. He is currently deputy chairman of Crest Nicholson following fourteen years as its chief executive.
COLLIERS CRE has appointed JOHN PARTINGTON to its specialist shopping centre team within the asset & property management division in London. He joins from the Cadogan Estate where he was the first centre manager of the £250m Duke of York Square mixed-use development in Chelsea.
Property communications consultancy HALOGEN has promoted LAURA TORRANCE to account director. Her clients include Crest Nicholson Developments and F&C Property Asset Management. And MELANIE HOPPER has been promoted to account manager, working on a major research project for BCSC as well as development projects for ING Real Estate.
BILL RASPIN has resigned as asset manager at Golfrate, where his projects included the Trocadero, in order to resume his investment and development business, RPL.
HARTNELL TAYLOR COOK has recruited two new members for its growing London-based retail team. DOMINIC TOMLINSON has joined as an associate partner from Gerald Eve's West End office. And ROSS THOMSON joins as an associate partner from coffee retailer Costa where he had been an acquisitions manager.
ING REAL ESTATE has appointed MENNO MAAS as CEO development and as a member of the management board. He will assume overall responsibility for the global development business. He joins ING Real Estate from Amvest where he held the position of managing director.
BRITISH LAND has appointed LORD TURNBULL, until recently secretary of the cabinet and head of the home civil service, and KATE SWANN, chief executive of WH Smith, as non-executive directors.
ATISREAL has appointed TONY BAKER as a director of its retail and industrial lease advisory department with a specific remit to head and grow the out-of-town rent review practice. He joins from David Honeyman & Associates, a niche out-of-town retail consultancy where his clients included Argos, B&Q, Dunelm, Homebase, Focus, Wickes, Currys, PC World, Matalan and Staples.
ING REAL ESTATE has announced three new appointments at director level. CHRISTOPHER SCOTT and SIMON HOAD have been promoted to development director and RUSSELL COETZEE has been appointed as finance director.
