THE MALL has appointed KEN WILLIAMS as the new general manager of The Mall Preston. He spent 15 years in management for Littlewoods, rising to become head of product marketing and trade planning for the group.


THE LIGHT retail and leisure destination in Leeds has appointed DEREK PATTERSON as facilities and maintenance manager. He joins from O2 where he was facilities manager for six years.


JOHN LEWIS PARTNERSHIP has appointed MARGARET CASELY-HAYFORD as director of legal services. She joins from City solicitors Denton Wilde Sapte where she has been a partner and joint head of the planning and public law group since 1998.


CAPITAL SHOPPING CENTRES has appointed GAVIN PRIOR as operations manager of the MetroCentre, Gateshead. He was formerly operations manager at CSC's Harlequin Shopping Centre in Watford.


WARNER ESTATE HOLDINGS has recruited JOHN PEACOCK from Lend Lease to become director of development. Prior to joining Lend Lease he was an associate director at Grosvenor.


LAND SECURITIES has made two key appointments at its regional office in Leeds. JAMES LARMUTH has been appointed portfolio manager. He joins from Donaldsons and his remit will include The Gate in Newcastle. At the same time LEE COLLINS joins as a building surveyor responsible for The Bridges, Sunderland.


PRUDENTIAL has appointed LISA HUGGINS as full-time programme assistant on the Prudential 4 Youth initiative, which enables young people to take direct action to tackle problems such as anti-social behaviour, theft and vandalism across 14 centres.


PHOTO-ME INTERNATIONAL has appointed MARTIN REAVLEY, as an independent non-executive director. He is first bursar of King's College, Cambridge, and a non-executive director of Matalan. Previously, he was group finance director at Kesa.


SAVILLS has appointed MATT BROWN as associate director to join its in-town retail team, Bristol. He joins from Colliers CRE where his clients included Dixons, Virgin and Body Shop.


QUEENSGATE SHOPPING CENTRE has appointed ROGER HINKINS as the new security manager. He joins from the RAF where he had worked as an RAF Policeman for over 34 years.


CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD has appointed FIONA MACFADYEN as a new associate in the Glasgow retail department. Coming from Smith Cole Wright, she has nine years experience in the Scottish market.


HENRY BOOT DEVELOPMENTS has boosted the management team at its £70m Ayr Central retail development, due to open this month in Ayr, with the appointment of STEPHANIE CONNELLY, as shopping centre manager.
