The mall income index (UK): January

Published:  07 March, 2006

The Mall Income Index benchmarks the commercial income generated from mall space in shopping centres across the United Kingdom. The results are based on January 2003 with an index of 100.

Following what looked to have been a difficult end to 2005, things picked up with a late rush at the end of December that led to a very strong January sales period.

The major question mark will be whether the February lull deepens into a trough or whether the pace will pick up once more as Easter approaches.
