Coopers Square shopping centre in Burton-upon-Trent is bringing art to the region’s shoppers, with an exclusive pop-up exhibition.
The ‘Culture at Coopers’ exhibition which will be launched on February 6, will be in situ for two weeks and gives shoppers an exclusive chance to view the latest pieces from Alistair Kennedy – a celebrated visual artist specialising in paint and mixed-media.
The exhibition, featuring a series of Kennedy’s work titled ‘Unobtainable Landscapes’, is taking place for the second time, and serves to increase footfall and provides a free, educational activity for locals and visitors.
Centre manager, David Chadfield said: “Following on from the success of last year’s exhibition, we wanted to invite Alistair back to display his latest collection within the centre. It is a great opportunity for the people of Burton and beyond, to experience contemporary art and hosting the exhibition at Coopers Square opens up this new creative discipline to a wider audience.”
