Gloucester Quays records highest ever footfall

Gloucester Quays outlet centre has enjoyed it’s highest-ever Christmas and New Year footfall, following the implementation of a repositioning and communications campaign.

Richard Rawlings, Gloucester Quays centre manager, explained: “We’ve had a very busy Christmas, with footfall up by 7.9 per cent, sales up nearly 6.5 per cent and our restaurants on site have reported increases of up to 39 per cent over the Christmas period. These Christmas figures follow our hugely successful Victorian Christmas Market in November where visitors topped 83,000 people in just four days.”

These figures follow the appointment of marketing communications company Fox Kalomaski Crossing in October.

“Our proposition, ‘Gloucester Quays, always gives you more’, was carefully targeted across the region using a completely integrated mix of online and offline communications,” said Stephen Fox, managing director of Fox Kalomaski Crossing.

Richard Rawlings added: “Our busy calendar of signature events this year, alongside a heavyweight marketing investment planned this year confirms our commitment to Gloucester, and helping drive footfall and tenants’ sales in what will undoubtedly be a challenging year for everyone.”
