Sales up at Lowry Outlet Mallís restaurant Plaza

Lowry Outlet Mall has announced that sales at its Plaza restaurants are up by 13 per cent year-on-year without factoring in sales from the Mallís latest signing, the Harvester Restaurant.

Footfall at the Mall is up 9.3 per cent year-on-year with footfall figures for the Plaza entrance alone up 29.3 per cent year-on-year. And total sales were up 7 per cent, with homeware and mixed fashions proving most popular, alongside the Plaza.

The success of the Mallís strong footfall figures has been put down to a new marketing strategy that includes TV, radio and a new loyalty scheme offering exclusive discounts to local residents and workers, as well as the restaurant offering, which includes Pizza Express, Bella Italia, Lime, Cafť Rouge, Pond Quay and the new Harvester Restaurant.

Centre manager, Robert Hallworth, says: ďThe Lowry Outlet Mallís Plaza restaurants have performed way above expectations for 2011. The strong anchor restaurant brands on the Plaza continue to appeal to our loyal customer base as well as attracting those who are new to the region. Our strong performance shows that the Mall is at the very heart of the local community, and the solid performance of our restaurants establishes us as the dining capital of the Quays.Ē

Recent openings include Yankee Candle, Tefal, MBT, Edinburgh Woollen Mill and M&S Outlet for Furniture.
