Shaftesbury has completed the catering line-up at its St Martin’s Courtyard development in Covent Garden with new Thai concept SUDA
Shaftesbury’s 2-acre mixed use development opened last year with five restaurants, including the West End flagship of Jamie’s Italian, London’s first Bill’s – a unique café and produce store, contemporary Indian restaurant Dishoom and Europe’s first Cantina Laredo; an upscale Mexican restaurant.
Davis Coffer Lyons was letting agent for the leisure element and Kate Taylor of the Development Leasing Team said: “SUDA is a really exciting brand in that provides a modern take on some very traditional Thai specialities. It is the ideal concept to complete the exciting range of restaurants at St Martin’s Courtyard; an important new eating and drinking hub for Covent Garden centred around an open air courtyard with al fresco dining.”
The scheme also includes 28 retail stores , 73,000sq ft of office space and 33 apartments as well as a central courtyard bordered by Long Acre, Upper St Martins Lane and Mercer Street. Flagship stores including Banana Republic, Cos and Jack Wills combine with independent boutiques such as Twenty8Twelve and Jaeger London to create a new urban village for London.
