Redevelopment begins on Madeley town centre

Demolition has begun on the 1960s shopping parade in Madeley town centre. A 4,380-sq ft Tesco store will be constructed in its place, as well as 15 new commercial and 16 residential units, highway and public realm improvements and access to the library. The scheme, by Durward Kingsley Estates and Tesco, is due for completion in 2010.
