Greenland Charity Challenge

Published:  18 March, 2009

If you thought it was tough getting to work through the recent bouts of snow, spare a thought for property recruitment specialist Joe Woodward who will be taking arctic pursuits to a totally different level with the Colman Architects’ Elifar Polar Challenge, a coast-to-coast crossing of the Greenland icecap in April, which will hopefully raise pots of money for The Elifar Foundation.

Woodward has been sponsored by Colman Architects to spend a month on skis, pulling an 80kg sled for 350 miles across the second largest icecap in the world where temperatures can drop to as low as minus 40°c and winds can reach over 150 mph.
Elifar (Every Life Is For A Reason) is a small charity providing equipment and therapy for children and young adults with severe mental and physical disability.
