The SFX Parking Post is a new aid to help protect parking spaces that are reserved by regulation for disabled drivers, parents with children or other special needs groups, including the seven-day business user.
The new product, developed and manufactured by SFX Technologies, works with a system of sensors and audio transmitters that recognises when a vehicle has entered the controlled parking bay and broadcasts a message pointing out the restrictions of use. DDA regulations require all parking facilities to provide disabled parking bays, and print notices often fail to enforce the restrictions. Audio broadcasts achieve greater compliance.
The product uses the same Gel Audio technology to deliver the warning message that SFX has pioneered for audio signage. This technique has already proved effective in dramatically reducing personal crime in London.
Gel Audio can also be located within pay-on-foot, pay-and-display and help points, to provide customer information.
