World-renowned architects Daniel Liebeskind and Lord Foster have unveiled schemes on the banks of the Liffey within weeks of each other.
Liebeskind has designed a new theatre and two new office buildings for Chartered Land's Grand Canal Square project, while Foster & Partners have emerged as the winner of the competition to design the U2 Tower in Dublin's Docklands for a joint venture between Ballymore Properties, Gerry McKillen and members of U2. The winning design is for a slender tower of 136 apartments with a penthouse recording studio housed in a soundproofed egg.
