Land Sec scoops three Park Marks

Land Securities has scooped a Park Mark award for each of its three retail parks in Livingston, demonstrating its commitment to safety at its scheme.
Paul Marsh, centre manager at Almondvale shopping centre - part of the Land Securities portfolio in Livingston - said: "We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of shoppers visiting Livingston as well as our tenants. In recent years we have taken measures to further enhance the effectiveness of our security by adding security personnel and extending the coverage of our CCTV."
PC Jacqui Shiel of the safer communities department at Lothian and Borders Police's West Lothian Division, said: "I am a strong believer that it is better to prevent a crime than to solve it. There are numerous ways in which this can be achieved and the concept of designing out crime is by far the most cost-effective. Land Securities has grasped this principle and their effort in its attainment demonstrates a caring management commitment for all people who use the area."
