MCARTHURGLEN, the outlet specialist, has appointed luxury brands specialist GIOVANNI GALBIATI to the newly-created dual role of managing director of Italy and regional director of Southern Europe. He is best known for his work with Gianni Versace, where he spent 15 years from 1989 to 2004, culminating in his appointment as group general manager.
MARTIN FLETCHER has taken up the post of town centre manager with LETCHWORTH TOWN CENTRE PARTNERSHIP, which is in the process of establishing a town centre management company to take a pivotal role in the redevelopment that is planned to transform the leisure and retail offers of the town centre.
MEADOWHALL has welcomed three new recruits. CHARLOTTE BURTON joins from Ptarmigan Consultants as PR manager. ANNA MASON has joined the marketing team as marketing executive from the Mall Alhambra in Barnsley. And MALINA BECK has joined The Source at Meadowhall as a training officer. She was previously at international training company A4e.
RICHARD HILL has been appointed as the centre manager of MARSHALL'S YARD in Gainsborough, which is due to open at Easter. He joins the Marshall's Yard team after managing the Waterside shopping centre in Lincoln and leading a facilities management team at Debenhams.
CHURSTON HEARD has expanded with two new appointments. MARK SMITH has been appointed from Orme Prime Retail as an associate director in the Central London agency team, providing strategic property advice to retailers. And NALIN NILAWEERA has joined the 'out-of-town' department as a senior surveyor and will work on retail park asset management and occupier acquisition. He has previously worked for CBRE and Chase & Partners.
IPF has appointed LOUISE ELLISON as the new research director. She is currently research director for C-SCAIPE (Centre for Sustainable Communities Achieved through Integrated Professional Education) at Kingston University School of Surveying.
DAVID ALKER has joined ING REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT UK as development director and will work on a range of projects including the £390m Northgate, Chester. And Alex Brooker has joined ING as retail & leisure manager. He will be part of the team responsible for the leasing of large-scale retail projects such as Dalton Park, Stevenage Town Centre and the North East Quarter of Belfast City Centre.
NASH BOND continues to expand with the appointment of CHRISTOPHER WADE as a graduate surveyor to assist the team with retail rent reviews and lease renewals.
