Tenants sign for Ards' last units

Ards shopping centre has plenty to celebrate with a 12 per cent increase in customer numbers in the past year and the arrival of three new exciting stores.

Costa Coffee, Belleek Living and the Perfume Shop joined recent additions Asda and Marks & Spencer's Simply Food to take the centre to its full occupancy target of 60 stores.

The shopping centre attracts a weekly average of 100,000 customers and with further developments in the coming months, this number can only increase. Ards shopping centre manager Ken McGavock said: "We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming the new retailers to the centre. The significant growth in our customer numbers over the last year is directly due to our increasing retail offering."

Miss Northern Ireland Catherine Milligan visited the centre to taste the first coffee at Costa Coffee with the coffee brand's Malcolm Roy. By the look of her, we somehow doubt that she ate all that cake.
