HARTNELL TAYLOR COOK has appointed ALISTAIR JOHNSTONE to join its professional team in London as a rent review surveyor specialising in retail and large stores. He joins from the London borough of Bromley.

MCARTHURGLEN has appointed BRIAN COLLIE as a non-executive director. Formerly a main board member and retail director of BAA, and chairman of Lastminute.com, he is credited with transforming BAA into the word's leading airport retailer with global sales of more than £3bn. He also established World Duty Free, BAA's international duty-free company.

GRAHAM CORSER has been appointed to the board of P&O ESTATES. He joined P&O as Senior Development Surveyor in 1992 from Crowngap Developments and is currently responsible for all commercial aspects of the Drake Circus development in Plymouth.

GERRY MARTIN has joined LESLIE FURNESS as a surveyor specialising in rent review and lease renewal work. He previously worked for Stiles Harold Williams and prior to that he spent two years at the London Borough of Bromley.

JAMES BOYD-PHILLIPS, former director of LXB and Arlington, has joined the board of THE JUNCTION as asset management director. He will be responsible for the general asset management, leasing and development of The Junction portfolio.

HEATHER CRANK-INGHAM has been appointed the new marketing and PR executive at Bolton's Middlebrook Retail and Leisure Park.

LEND LEASE RETAIL is to expand its leasing team with the appointment of GUY THOMAS and MITCHELL WILSON. Thomas joins from DTZ, where he was head of shopping centre agency and he will be part of Lend Lease's development leasing programme, focusing on Overgate in Dundee and Park Place in Croydon. Wilson joins from Lend Lease in Australia, and he will act as leasing manager for Lend Lease's existing assets at Overgate in Dundee, Golden Square in Warrington and Touchwood in Solihull.

DTZ is boosting its retail agency department in Birmingham with the appointment of MATTHEW HELLEWELL who is moving from DTZ's industrial agency department.

NATHAN WAREING has resigned his partnership of Edgerley Simpson Howe & Partners to set up WAREING & PARTNERS, a new property consultancy specialising predominantly in the retail and leisure sectors.

SIMONS DEVELOPMENTS has appointed ANDREW POLLETT as project director. He will be based in Leeds and will be helping to deliver the £175m Trinity Walk scheme in Wakefield.
