The SCEPTRE Awards, rewarding the best practice and the best people in the UK and Ireland shopping centre industry, are back - with a fabulous new venue.

The London Marriott's superb ballroom in Grosvenor Square, Mayfair, will see awards presented in 15 categories on Wednesday June 28. The move to the Marriott reflects the continued growth of the SCEPTRE Awards, which have become well established as the shopping centre industry's premier accolade.

For 2006 the Centre Manager of the Year awards have been revised into three size bands: small (up to 150,000 sq ft,) medium (150,001 to 500,000 sq ft) and large (500,001 sq ft and over). All will be open to managers of shopping centres, outlet malls and on-site managed retail parks.

At the same time four new categories have been introduced for 2006: Technological Innovation of the Year plus three awards to coincide with the launch of Shopping Centre Ireland - Developer of the Year sponsored by CB Richard Ellis; Agent of the Year sponsored by MacLellan International and Shopping Centre Manager of the Year.

The Retailer of the Year award and the three Irish categories will be decided by a poll of Shopping Centre readers. Log on to [http://www.sceptre-awards.co.uk] to vote. And entrants are of course welcome for all the other categories as well, so why not start penning your entry now? Remember, the judges will be looking for hard evidence of achievement.
