One Stop shopping centre in Perry Bar attracts new tenants
Europa Capital and Sovereign Centros have completed a string of new lettings at One Stop shopping centre in Perry Bar, Birmingham, and the retail warehouse park element of the hybrid scheme is now fully let following on from the lettings to JD Sports, Mattressman and The Gym in 2017.
The Food Warehouse, the new food retail concept by Iceland Foods, has signed a 10-year lease for a 14,500-sq ft unit on a new 10-year lease. And Costa Coffee signed a new 10-year lease for a 2,320-sq ft restaurant format unit in the covered shopping mall.
Rob Sim, partner and head of Northern Europe at Europa Capital, said: “These latest deals once again reinforce One Stop Shopping Centre’s position as the foremost retail destination in this area of the city.”
The Europa Capital and Sovereign Centros partnership acquired One Stop Shopping Centre and adjacent retail park in December 2016. The 380,000-sq ft asset is three miles from Birmingham city centre. Other key retailers include Asda, Marks and Spencer, JD Sports, Wilko, Nike, Argos, Boots, New Look, Arcadia and Home Bargains.
The athletes village for the 2022 Commonwealth Games will be directly opposite One Stop with the Alexandra Stadium, one of the main venues, a short distance to the north.
