BL adds four in Denton

Run of new lettings at Crown Point, Denton, Greater Manchester

British Land has leased over 36,000 sq ft of retail space at Crown Point, Denton. Sports Direct has taken 12,000 sq ft on a long leasehold basis; Footasylum has signed for 5,000 sq ft on a 10-year lease and Flannels has taken 12,000 sq ft on a long leasehold basis. At the same timeJD Sports has re-geared the lease on its existing 7,500-sq ft store for a further 10 years.

The deals reflect British Land’s focused leasing strategy of targeting growth subsectors such as outdoor and sports clothing. The operators will complement the newly opened Sweat! gym.

Crown Point, Denton attracts 5 million customers per year and, with over 200,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, offers 36 shops including River Island, TK Maxx, H&M and Boots.
